is this in canon-verse? one where loki has redeemed himself and become a reluctant part of the avengers because let’s face it if he ever wants to redeem himself fury will immediately gets his hands on loki’s powerful magic, and loki will be part of the avengers faster than anyone can throw their hands up and screams ‘NICK FURY YOU MANIPULATIVE OPPORTUNISTIC BASTARD’ angrily

so they—clint and loki—became teammates, and soon it’s obvious to loki how different the real clint is to brainwashed!clint. how snarky and rebellious and fun the real clint is

(how not so much different they are)

and it surprises loki to find out that this real clint? a thousand times more attractive than brainwashed!clint. a thousand times more fun to be around

but the problem is? clint is with tony. not with with tony, the kind that includes fancy dinners and whispered words in private. clint and tony are in an open relationship, where they are basically friends with benefits

so suddenly there’s this love triangle thing going on between the three of them. tony gets more aggressive, starts putting his hand on the small of clint’s back when they stand side by side, kissing clint out of the blue in front of everyone else to see. and loki, he’s called the fucking trickster not without reasons, so he starts sabotaging tony’s advances, with varying degrees of creativity and success

and clint? clint’s clueless. because no one ever wanted him for anything other than his skills, so this attention just confuses the hell out of him. he’s more observant than most, but when it comes to this, he’s clueless

but maybe not for long
